Camperdown Nursery has been operating for over 40 years and is well-established and highly regarded in the local community. We offer high quality childcare and education to children aged 2 to 5 years in a caring, home from home, enriched learning environment.
We are a small unit enabling our staff to really get to know the children as individuals, ensuring that each child's interests and developmental needs are met. We are very outdoor orientated and have free-flow to our wonderful outdoor areas, as well as taking every opportunity to take the children out into the local community and down to the forest for expeditions and adventures.

Funded Places
We are in partnership with East Lothian Council and from the term after your child's third birthday you are entitled to receive funding for up to five 3hr hour sessions per week, during school term time.
Camperdown are able to offer these free places to all eligible children.
Pick Ups and Drop Offs
We operate a wrap-around care service for children who are attending local authority nurseries for their pre-school education.
We are able to collect and drop off children who attend morning or afternoon sessions at Prestonpans Infants.
Opening Times
The nursery is open Monday to Friday, 0800 hours to 1800 hours, except for closure over the festive period.
Morning Session: 8am - 1pm
Afternoon Session: 1pm - 6pm

We create an ethos where mutual trust, respect and confidence prevails throughout the nursery. It is important to us to develop excellent relationships between parents and staff enabling children to move happily between home and nursery. Everyone who attends our nursery feels welcomed, valued, safe and secure.
Our Staff
Our nursery has a highly dedicated and committed team, specially chosen for their qualities and experience. We have a high child:staff ratio which means staff really get to know your children well and are able to meet their developmental needs and interests. Staff are given constant support in their day to day roles, as well as being encouraged to undertake further training to enhance their knowledge.
Snacks & Lunches
The nursery will provide morning and afternoon snacks for your child. Served on a rotating menu basis our healthy snacks can consist of anything from toast, fruit and vegetables to sampling home baking the children have done that day. For children who attend nursery over the lunch period, parents are asked to provide a packed lunch.
